Hello! My name is Lincoln Le and I am a first-year in the College! I am planning on majoring in Government with a minor in Business Administration. My family is from Vietnam, but I was born and raised in South Florida. I’m also currently zooming in South Florida wishing just like you, that I was on campus. This academic year I decided to run for a seat on the GUSA Senate because I want to enact progressive change that would help build Georgetown into a community fit for all students. In the Senate, my main goal will be to advance your agenda. Whatever questions, comments, concerns, or complaints you have, I will make sure they are heard in our sessions. As students, we deserve to be represented by people who will work towards the betterment of ALL of us, not just the majority.

In my platform, I mainly discuss revolutionizing the way Senate leadership and GU Administration interact. Every year, Senate leadership is elected by the people, for the people. This ideology must be mimicked into action. In the Senate, I promise to be the people’s voice and fight for a fruitful student life. I will make sure to keep Georgetown University accountable for their lack of progressive action on key issues such as inclusivity across all campus activities and government and transparency during times of vulnerability such as the COVID-19 pandemic. I will work even harder to bring forth common-sense initiatives such as properly allocating aid and guidance to FGLI students, providing meaningful mental health resources to students, protecting marginalized groups, educating and acting against sexual assault, etc. Let’s change GU for the better, together! So remember, when you fill out your ballot this weekend, Let (Lincoln Le)ad!
